Feeding Innovation: Upstate
Are you an entrepreneur interested in developing or expanding a business that provides access to healthy foods in underserved areas across South Carolina? If you answered yes, we invite you to participate in a challenge that will help you achieve your dream.
How it Works
Participants will present a business plan that:
- Proposes an innovative, market-based, business-oriented solution to the issue of local, healthy food access
- Targets a community with limited availability of and accessibility to healthy foods
- Incorporates community input to ensure local needs are met
Benefits of Participation
All Feeding Innovation participants will receive:
- Business plan development
- Special participation in NxLevel Training
- Personal business mentor
Award
A team of judges will review all submitted business plans and evaluate them based on established rating standards. One selected entrepreneur will receive:
- $10,000 seed capital award in the form of a forgivable loand
- Up to $500,000 in business financing (pending approval)
