Nate joined SCCLF in 2021, and brings with him over 25 years’ experience in community development finance, 18 of which were serving as South State Bank’s Community Development Officer. Throughout his career, Nate has championed small business development and worked to advance equitable access to capital across South Carolina.

Nate holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina and a Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University. He has long provided leadership as a member of the Board of Directors for organizations such as South Carolina Association for Community Economic Development, Columbia Housing Development Corporation, and Richland Library Board of Trustees, Together SC, and the SC Community Capital Alliance.

Nate lives in Columbia. He is an avid gardener and enjoys traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.
