Use this checklist to gather the documents and details that your loan officer will typically need before moving a small business application forward.

Business Financial Information

2 Years of Financial Statements (if applicable):

A Profit & Loss statement summarizes your business's revenues, expenses, and net profit or loss over a specific period. Lenders use it to assess your business's financial performance and ability to repay a loan.
A balance sheet is a snapshot of your business's financial position — listing assets, liabilities, and owner's equity at a specific date. Lenders use it to evaluate what your business owns versus owes and its overall financial stability.
List all existing business debts, if applicable:
Lenders/credit cards, outstanding balances, monthly payment amount, and interest rate.

Lists all Sources of funds for your business/project, and the planned Uses of those funds.
(Examples of sources: SCCLF loan, Other loans, Employment Income, Savings/Investments, other/etc.)
(Examples of Uses: Equipment, Inventory, Refinance, Acquisition/Purchase, other/etc.)

Business formation documents:
Articles of Organization, Operating Agreement, and Certificate of Existence.

Personal Financial Information (Loan Guarantor)

A current personal financial statement for each owner with 20% or more ownership.
(Or for additional personal guarantors, if applicable).

The above checklist items are the minimum documents to prep for the Small Business Term Loan, and does not specifically apply to Real Estate Construction / Permanent loans, Revolving Lines of Credit, Housing Our Future Trust Fund, LEAP Program, New Markets Tax Credit or other bridge loans / participation loans.
