SCCLF Chief Lending Officer James Chatfield Steps Down
James joined SCCLF in 2016 and has led our lending team as Chief Lending Officer since 2018. Under James’ leadership, our lending team has deployed over $19.2MM into projects with a total development cost of over $95.7MM. During James’ tenure, the lending team successfully deployed loans ranging from a $75,000 COVID-19 working capital loan to multimillion dollar loans in support of New Markets Tax Credits allocations and USDA Community Facilities funds. His legacy at SCCLF will be one of immense growth and progress in SCCLF’s ability to advance equitable access to capital across South Carolina.
Although James will be stepping down effective Friday, March 26, the lending team James helped build will continue to deploy capital, technical assistance services, and programs in the places where they are most needed.
Our staff and Board of Directors is grateful to James for his many contributions, and we wish him the very best in his next chapter. James has worked tirelessly on behalf of our borrowers, and we will continue to follow the example he set.
