We’re posting today to share some South Carolina Community Loan Fund staffing changes. While the changes are bittersweet, we are more optimistic than ever about building economically resilient, equitable communities.
Patrick King, our Chief Lending Officer, is retiring after serving SCCLF for nearly 10 years. Patrick has led the organization through a remarkable product and geographic expansion, growing our revolving loan fund from $2.3 million in loans outstanding to $13.2 million in loans outstanding today. We are thankful to Patrick for his service to our organization and his more than 25 years of commitment to the community development finance sector.
James Chatfield, our current Midlands Community Development Loan Officer, has been promoted to the position of Lending Director. James will oversee the search for a Coastal Loan Officer to join him and Brendan Buttimer, our Upstate Loan Officer, in providing lending and technical assistance services throughout the state. James has over 10 years of experience in the banking and finance industry, and we are confident in his ability to lead our lending department.
We are thankful Patrick’s leadership has positioned James and the Lending team for success as we look to the future and continue the work of investing in community.
