South Carolina Community Loan Fund announced that Tony Woody has been appointed Chairman of its Board of Directors. He succeeds Karen Abrams, who had served in the role since 2013. Tony, a Professional Engineer and Partner with Thomas and Hutton Engineering Co, previously served as Chairman from 2010-2013.
Tony has practiced engineering for 29 years, 27 of which were with Thomas and Hutton. He began his career at Thomas and Hutton as a design engineer specializing in residential and commercial projects. Notable projects include Kiawah Island and Daniel Island (both ULI Award of Excellence recipients). Tony currently serves as Civil Department Manager of the Mt. Pleasant office.
Tony is actively involved in various civic and charitable organizations including his church, Christ Our King, and is past Chairman of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Developers Council. He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from North Carolina State University and is registered as a Professional Engineer in South Carolina and North Carolina.
