SCCLF Chief Executive Officer Anna Lewin Steps Down

Anna joined SCCLF in 2013 and has led the organization as Chief Executive Officer since 2019. During her eight years with SCCLF, Anna has been a key contributor to the organization’s remarkable growth as we more than doubled the size of our team, expanded our geographic and programmatic focus areas, and grew from an organization with $7.9MM in total assets and $4.1MM in loans outstanding to nearly $32MM in total assets and $24MM in loans outstanding. During her tenure at SCCLF, Anna spearheaded several of our technical assistance programs, deepened SCCLF’s advocacy and policy work, and has been a dedicated advocate for our mission. We are grateful to Anna for her service to our organization and for helping to build the foundation for the organization’s next phase of growth.

SCCLF is launching a nationwide search for a new Chief Executive Officer. During the transition, Leigh Ann Shelton, SCCLF’s current Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed by the Board of Directors to serve as Interim CEO. Leigh Ann, who joined SCCLF in 2017, has more than 20 years of experience in finance and accounting in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors.

The staff and Board of Directors remains focused on serving our borrowers, deploying capital in and advocating for communities most in need of economic opportunity.
