“Bridge North Charleston” celebrated the groundbreaking of the North Bridge Townhomes, situated at Azalea Drive and Cosgrove Avenue. This project, aimed at providing affordable housing and slowing gentrification, is made possible by a $1.5 million American Rescue Plan grant, through Charleston County, managed by the South Carolina Community Loan Fund.
“Bridge North Charleston” believes that homeownership is key to community stability and individual prosperity, aligning with SCCLF’s mission. SCCLF is proud to partner with Charleston County to address the lack of affordable housing. Owning a home ensures cultural preservation, prevents displacement, and fosters a sense of belonging.
“SCCLF is thrilled to partner with Charleston County on this important project,” said Deborah McKetty, CEO of South Carolina Community Loan Fund. “We believe that everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to call home.”
This project embodies resilience, vision, and community-driven progress. As construction progresses, these townhomes will be a symbol of unity, showing how communities can come together to build a brighter future.
