This week, SCCLF wishes our Chief Program Officer, Debby Waid, a happy retirement. Debby is retiring at the end of the month after 12 years of service to the SCCLF board and staff, and over 30 years working in the Charleston homeless and affordable housing sector.
Debby, a founding board member of the organization, has served as the Chief Program Officer since May 2012 and has been our lead provider of affordable housing technical assistance services and new markets tax credit workshops. She has been a tireless advocate for affordable housing in our community and we are fortunate she will continue to advocate for this critical issue in her free time. A grateful staff and board gathered last week to thank Debby for her many contributions to the organization and sector.
Please join us in congratulating Debby on her retirement and wishing her the best in her next journey. We look forward to Debby continuing to lend her expertise to the organization as a volunteer with our loan committee.
