Every great business starts with an idea. What often makes the difference between an idea and a thriving company is the right support at the right time. That’s exactly what the Local Entrepreneur Acceleration Program (LEAP) offers, and applications are now open for our second cohort of 2026.
LEAP is a free, 10 week virtual accelerator from South Carolina Community Loan Fund designed for entrepreneurs across the state who are ready to turn their business ideas into sustainable, growing ventures. Over the course of the program, participants receive hands on mentorship and training, connect with a supportive community of fellow business owners, and work through the practical building blocks of running a business, from financial planning to pitch development to long term growth strategy.
This cohort also comes with an exciting addition. At the end of the 10 weeks, participants will take part in a live pitch competition, with the winner receiving $20,000 in seed capital to help bring their business plans to life.
Since LEAP launched in 2019, the program has helped entrepreneurs across South Carolina build the skills and confidence to grow their businesses, including familiar names like Ruiz Tires, Southeast Detailing, Satura Styles, SHEAM Strategic Consulting Group, and Kelly’s Kitchen.
Applications for the 2026 second cohort close August 3, with classes beginning August 25.
