Darrell Booker, Director of Lending

Darrell Booker joins SCCLF as a community and economic development professional with broad experience in small business lending, strategic partnerships, and regional economic growth. His career has been dedicated to stimulating investment throughout South Carolina by linking financial institutions, government bodies, and small business owners.

He is skilled at navigating complex regulatory environments and bringing different groups together to create a meaningful impact on the community. Before his current role, Darrell was a Senior Community Loan Officer at the Climb Fund, where he managed the lending process from finding opportunities to closing loans. He also structured diverse transactions while ensuring full compliance with SBA Microloan guidelines.

Darrell also brings a strong background in grant management and economic development. As a Senior Project Manager for the Southern Carolina Alliance, he led economic and community initiatives across a seven-county region. In this role, he successfully secured government grants by preparing detailed proposals and budgets. Earlier in his career, he served as a Project Manager for Orangeburg County Economic Development, where he oversaw large-scale project developments for commercial real estate and industrial parks. During his time there, he helped secure significant capital investments and played a key role in creating or retaining more than 260 jobs.
