Michael Renault serves as Director of Tax Credits and Housing for the South Carolina Community Loan Fund (SCCLF), where he oversees the organization’s New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit programs, as well as the existing portfolio.

Before joining SCCLF, Mr. Renault was the founder and owner of Image360 Charleston, a locally owned sign and graphics company affiliated with a North American franchise network. His entrepreneurial work followed a 22-year career in banking, during which he held a range of sales and management roles spanning retail and commercial lending, commercial real estate, and wealth management.

A native of Hilton Head Island, Mr. Renault has spent most of his life in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, with a professional career that has taken him throughout the state and into parts of Georgia. He resides in Charleston and has two sons in college.

Mr. Renault is actively engaged in his community through numerous affiliations. He currently serves on the College of Charleston Board of Trustees and is a past President and board member of its Alumni Association. He is a current board member of Charleston Leaders and has contributed his time to United Way, Junior Achievement, and the Charleston Trident Urban League. A graduate of Leadership Hilton Head/Bluffton, he has served as a board member of Junior Leadership of Hilton Head/Bluffton and has been involved with the Chambers of Commerce in Hilton Head Island/Bluffton, Greenville, and Charleston. He is also a past member of the School of Business Advisory Board at USC Beaufort.
